That's a hood like we manufacture it's a 2 1/2" at the carb area and 2 3/4" at the windshield Rex

That's probably the best looking firebird hood I've seen.

Fitment at the front doesn't look so great... but I'm sure that can be worked out.

Not sure if it's one of our hoods, but like you say it can be adjusted out. There are not many adjustments with the headlight but several years ago I remember one of my employee worked on adjusting this lid after he did all he could with the complete light assembly.
