new painter help

I plan to paint my camaro sometime this summer. I need some information on what i need. i would also appreciate it if someone could give me the link to a thread or tutorial with good detailed information. Also about how many gallons of paint would it take to do four coats. Or should i do more ore less. Also i would apreciate it if you could tell me about dry times in things like that.
Also what would the cost be. I'm only 15 so please don't give me some off the wall number. Al help is apreciated
