took a hair dryer to them and heated them up a bit and slowly peeled them off. then i used rubbing alcohol to get rid of the left over glue. then used buffing compound to get rid of the marks from the alcohol. then after that i waxed it up real nice

Be careful when you take off pinstripes! There could be some underlying body work/ paint issues. Some paint shops will only paint to the pinstripe to save on paint. Especially when a collision occurred. You should be able to see/feel if they did this.

this is true, so guys if you decide to do this be careful! luckily i have the ability of a steady hand and could re pin stripe it myself if need be, but if you guys have any problems with it it could be a costly mistake

so just be cautious guys

for next time (or for anyone else) there is a great product you can buy at wal-mart or anywhere else called "goo gone". removes all goo with no harm to any color or paint, etc. works on everything.

3M also makes a strip removal tool, it's a circle thing that attaches to a drill i believe, i hear it works great but i've never tried it before

3M's eraser wheel....works great-it takes of striping, and residue, just leaving behind rubber shavings-like an eraser.....easily washed off, then wax over it.Any paint and body shop carries them, also any place that carries detailing supplies(or I should say the people who supply the detailers).....Napa also sells these(at least they did)...with or without the fitting for a drill.........
