Convertable top stuff
Good Question...
Unfortunately, I just sold my Nissan 240 convertable and sent with the new owner the cleaning/conditioning kit I use. I just can't remember exactly what it was, but it really worked miracles!
I did a web search at the time to find out what was being used Internationally- and found out there was a BIG-BIG difference in products. The one I used took off lots of tree sap, grime, overspray, etc, and once it dried and I applied the conditioner, it all looked like I had replaced the top with new canvas.
If you're able, do a regular internet search for best/top quality convertable cleaner. The cheap Kragen Auto usual stuff dosn't come close, but it was't to much more expensive. If the product name pops back up in my brain I'll shoot you a note.

believe it or not, you can actually scrub the cloth top with your normal car wash soap. it works just fine for me
just be careful not to do what i did to my old top, i spilled wax on the plastic window and rubbed it in and it made the window IMPOSSIBLE to see thru....so i just bought a new one with a glass window
