Install of Chrome Zr-1 Rims

What do I need to install Zr-1 rims on my '89 camaro? i think I need some spacers. Does anyone know where to get them or how much? I do not want to be left at the mercy of a tire place mechanic that tells me that it will not because i know there is a way. Any info will be appreciated.

Heres what I know.....

I bought a set of AFS ZR-1 wheels 9.5 front and 17x11 rear and they do not fit well at all. I got everything to make them fit properly including, adj. panhard rod, 4thgen rear, skulte spacers for the front. The front are fine but the rear just will not cut it. Its like 1/4 inch away from the wheel hub. When and if you get them get ready for ALOT more work for a proper fit than most will admit.

What is the backspacing on you front rims? 5.5? I do not understand what you mean about the rear rim. The rim is 1/4 inch from the rear hub or the fenderwell? Would a 91/2 inch wheel in the rear have been better?

A couple people here have them, and a couple companies make ZR-1 replicas in the correct backspacing for thirdgens. superiroc (I think) is one person who has a set on his ride.
Check www.groupawheels.com and www.performancewheeloutlet.com for them.
That was the wheel I had decided to go with until I found the perfect wheel for my car.

MatZ28 where did you get the spacers for the front and how much were they? I am starting to worry that spacers in the rear may not be safe for serious horespower. One company told me the spacers are 2 inches and around $65 apiece. Thay seems high and maybe unsafe. What do you think?

Spacers can be purchased form skulte.com or vettebrakes.com

Front was 2.25" rear 1.25" Together I think it was like $300

The spacers bolt to the hub then the wheel bolts to the spacers. IT's very strong. Lots of thirdgens are running them and road racing with them and I've yet to here a problem or of a spacer breaking.

I have the wheels on my car, I could send you some pics. I run spacers up front 2.5 from skulte and run a 4th gen rear with no spacers. I still can't figure out how to post my pics on the board, I have them on my desktop and soon on my webpage.
