Very nice. We don't see enough of those, as drag cars are primarily dominant in the thirdgen world.

I like the head on shot of the Camaro with an injury to the passenger side headlight pocket, it looks like it's dissapointed and hurt, hehe.

By the way if you would like any of those pics...Send me an email shawn18jgr@aol.com, and I will send you an invite to my private photo gallery.

I didn't feel like hosting 70 pics and posting them so I did that slide show.

Sorry no drag cars...It's a pretty cool sport! I'm really not into, it so I didn't bother finding pics. Feel free to post anything you like. PEACE

By the way if anyone wondered. That is the Firestone Firehawk Series from the 80's. Also includes SCCA, IMSA GTO, GTU...Most are from Watkins Glen, and if any of you remember the 1984 Columbus Ford Dealers 500 which I is where my passion for racing began at the age of 10.

Very nice, but not enough Firebirds.

So I'll add these for the 'bird lovers

I like the last three, because they kinda look like my car.

Leon.

Wow, i like those firebirds. I like the added piece on the nose better than just the stock nose. But maybe thats because i like the trans am's better.

Julie, do you by chance have a relative currently in the Army?

Rank: Major (O-4) and a tabbed and scrolled Ranger. If so, I think I may have ran into him......great story if this is the same guy!!

I've gone to Trans Am road races for quite a few years.
Back even when there was Trans Am Territory parking for Firebird Trans Ams.
I took quite a few pictures back then, and even of thirdgen Trans Am drag cars.
I just have to dig them out and get them put over to photo CDs for viewing.
Nice pics above!

George
