cat repellant/deterant

Ok I wasn't sure if this was the proper forum for this, but my car's finish and detailng job is getting ruined daily because of a cat.

The cat won't stay off my car.. dirt, hair, muddy paw prints everywhere. Even worse, he sprays.. and for some reason my car is the target! I had the front end jacked up today and I found no less then 30 'sprays' all along the front chin spoiler and drivers side fender.. no wonder I can't get rid of the smell!

grrr.. any suggestions?! Sure; shotgun, paintball, bb gun, louisville slugger, etc are not realistic options. I need a deterent/repellant while I am not around.

get a can of tuna, open it, pour out the juice, add some antifreeze, place it near your car... end of cat problem

Or if you wanna go the humane route make a trap for it and then when you catch it just call up the local animal control to pick it up. Either that or tie up a big rottweiler right beside your car, lol

Had that happen to me on my white 87 Cutlass.

Went on for a long time too.

Than one day I went out and cat was sitting on car and staring at me.

I calmly opened the garage door, got my bat, walked to the car and knocked it about 30 feet across the yard, it managed to walk/run away all stupid like and I never saw it again.

Or put some antifreeze in the frt and rear of the car in a tray.

To PETA people, keep your cat off my stuff.

later
Jeremy

LMAO. Im sorry man I dont mean to laugh. I had a buddy that had a car walk all the way over his car starting in the front and it jumped off the back. It was like a muddy cat print racing stripe. Oh the memories.

i have the same problem with one of my familys cats, I think the antifreeze solution sounds good. Or when your around you could just scare the hell out of it, or anytime it's near your car just chase it away while throwing things. Seems to help for me.

Too bad you couldn't run an electric current through the car's body safely..
Next time he jumps on the hood, you could be eating chinese that evening...

Put the cat up for adoption. Or give it away to someone you know will take care of it (that way you feel like it still has a good life and your car is no longer a litter box).

Get some kind of thick fabric material, and poke a few hundred thumb tacks through it, and lay it on your hood/roof, whatever. It wont' permanently hurt him, but it'll hurt him enough that he should stay the hell off the car.

Borrow a friends dog for a couple ofdays. It helps if the dog is mentally unsound. Tie it up where you keep your car. That should take care of the cat problem.

Well, here's a suggestion, not related to killing the cat. You said the cat's male. Have you had it neutered. My dog back home had a thing about spraying everything and marking his territory until we had him neutered. Just a though. Might be a male dominance/ownership thing the cat has going on. Just my .02.
