Re: Post your best rear picture!
INDEED that has got to be the cleanest early 3rd gen rear i have ever seen
since these cars were new. Your taillights look brand new but what really
catches my eyes is that they are not the factory tinted ones. I have the same
taillights but with the factory tint which i have since polished and gone over
with VHT Nightshades and clear.

I didn't know they were suppose to be tinted. Could it have worn off? The pontiac lettering under the bird isn't chromish looking like yours also. The pictures aren't bad for phone camera pictures huh? Unedited and taken with my Evo 4G. Here is of the bird and pontiac logo:
And off topic, but are you still selling the stuff in your sig?

however is painted on the outside and does wear off with washing and
weathering. After i polished my lights and tinted them i touched up the
lettering BEFORE the clear coat. Generally from what i have seen the
Trans Am's came with tinted taillights and Firebirds did not. I'm sure this
was an option available to Firebird buyers however. And believe me when i
say i have seen LOTS of these cars since i worked at one of the largest
Pontiac dealers in the country at the time. I would imagine your lettering
wore off with washing since your lights don't look weathered at all.
Probably garage kept most of it's life if not all.
Yes parts are still for sale except i just sold the chrome accessories
brackets on ebay.

Re: Post your best rear picture!
Hmm, I guess the lettering wore off then. I never even noticed that the pontiac was there for a while. Haha. But there is no trace of the chrome on the lettering anymore, so I would have never guessed. I do know that everything on the car is original except for the Trans Am rims, and interior stuff I have done. Also, what size rims/tires are you running on yours? And Thats the first time I have seen a ram air hood like that on a car similar to mine nose cone wise. I love the look of it.
The wheels are Vette 17x9.5. Front tires are 245/45/17 with a 2" adapter
behind the wheels. The rear is a 4th gen with disc brake, 3.42 gear,
Auburn posi, Moser axles and, c-clip eliminators. No spacers needed with
4th gen rear and tires are 285/40/17 Nitto's. Since my pics were taken i
also dropped it so it does look a little better then the pics.

I thought only the TA lenses were tinted & base birds were red? Personally i like the all red, plus it looks cleaner imo...

i don't see any body flex
i do see some suspension flex (needs anti-roll bar). if you're talking about the body lines out of alignment, that's just my lack of time/effort/motivation to make them perfect. this car gets blown apart once every 6 months it seems for some major upgrade or modification so i've gotten kinda lax on the body

Re: Post your best rear picture!
subframe connectors...They do a body right.....lol.....all of them I have ever had that half way hooked cracked at the top, or threw T-Tops off the car when racing...Look right above the back of the window, when the door is shut....

18x8 with 235/40/18 front and 18x9 275/35/18 rear. no engine in the car right now(sitting high in front). i might cut the rear 1/2 coil. already has lowering springs.

Took this earlier and fell in love with it.

the car has subframe connetors AND a roll bar, it can't move, lol.
