Nice thread lol, its a perfect excuse to see that third gen booty. Heres a rear quarter shot of my '86 IROC, and just to keep everyone updated, I recently completed a 5 speed swap on the car before storing it.

Why do people freakout about editing out the plates. You drive your car on the streets all the time for ALL the world to see, and yes......they can see your plates too. Some people think posting a pic with a plate number is like posting a pic with their social security number.

 

What he said!! It is public information. I have never understood the tin foil hat concern over this! If you're uncomfortable with posting your plate then block it out by all means, that's your choice! I wouldn't get everyone into panic mode over it though lol!

Well for one reason, these cars take like a minute to steal. This car you have put so much money into and are so proud of that you show it off can literally be gone in 60 seconds. Even less if it's someone with a wrecker. A thread like this would be a perfect shopping list. As said, it is public info. Get the tag, run the numbers, have your address. Just one possibility. There are so many more with giving personal info out over the web. I watched a you tube vid, guy just looked for recent twitter posts within his immediate area. Looked at their page and had pics of them, a name, all kinds of personal info. Found them and started telling them all about their life. Was real creepy, but was one of those prank vids. I am paranoid by no means, but why take unnecessary risks?
