Most modified thirdgen of 2005

*****NO PICTURES, IF YOU MUST POST A PICTURE POST A LINK SO THAT THE THREAD IS EASY TO READ!!!****

It's been awhile since i've really been on here. who has the most modified thirdgen over the last year?

we use to run polls on the top 10 thirdgen.org vehicles and it's been awhile. post your opinion of the most tastefully, yet heavily modified thirdgen on thirdgen.org.

IT CAN NOT BE YOUR OWN!

whoever has the nicest modified thirdgen on thirdgen.org voted by the people of thirdgen.org will receive something very nice.

post your opinion. the tally will be decided by the most agreed upon.

Do projects as of yet uncompleted count? If so, I'd vote shroom's ls1 T/A vert.

Pictures can be seen here.

I think for last year Camaroguy18 took the gold for the most aww-inspiring project. The thing is a work of art!

My vote goes to Gunny Highway Lots of performance and appearance mods including Firehawk seats, Baer brakes, new engine and paint, etc.

I love the look of Camaroguy18's car, however its just paint and rims. Its got the show, now it needs the go!

well in trying not to directly defend my car (because this doesnt bother me either way) but it's more paint and rims....it's everything but engine drivetrain

my vote goes to sinister

you really would have to throw jeff (kandied) in the mix....though the details are very scarce as to what's done - many of us know what to expect, or want to expect.

Not to knock his car or anything but I haven't seen anything more than speculation. I'm sure it's going to be a beautiful car and it was in its last incarnation but without knowledge/seeing the car, how should it be involved?

you're absolutley right...we have seen some pics of things on his 91 that were to be transfered to the 92 though...I already voted for the sinister nonetheless, but was still stating that he's been working on a SEMA worthy thirdgen for a lil under a year now....but yes, still just speculation

why?? the award is not for prettiest 3rd gen its for most modified. i dont think it looks bad either i think it looks pretty good for such a custom job. and i applaud him for his efforts b/c not many people would try something like that. i would have to rate that car in the top three if not #1 i completely forgot about that car.

A lot of the cars being posted arent heavily moddified. They just have new wheels, aftermarket hood, and some fresh paint.

My vote would go to sinister. I love his gauge work and the custom interior.

it is what it is....

we should maybe compile a top 10 or so, and then host a poll so more people centralize their votes....may prove to be more efficient

I hadn't remembered what sinisters car looked like until I did a quick search and while that looks like it's had a lot of effort put into it, it's the complete opposite of anything I'd ever do. Nothing seems to go together in my opinion.

Agreed, a car doesn't have to run 11's to be a work of art and inspire. Yeah justin has his well known paint and wheel combo, but what many of you don't know is he has alot in the name of interior and suspension as well. Remember, that car started out as an otherwise ugly sports coupe

Seems like we are getting a consistent 6 or 7 names out of everyone, I also think their should be another thread eventually to poll and finalize everything.

"post your opinion of the most tastefully, yet heavily modified thirdgen on thirdgen.org"

It is what it is huh?

Im not talking about having to have a 11 sec car either. But fitting a new hood and putting on wheels is far from heavily modified.

wow.

this is going downhill fast, just everyone list who they think deserves it and it will be fine, jeff didn't ask for opinions why so I and everyone should do this thread a favor and just stick to the topic.

the car should be completed or at least 95%.

and i haven't been on here with any updates for 2005 other then 19's and a ls6 so that shouldn't count. should be a newer member with heavy modifications meaning all 5 classifications. paint, interior, suspension, wheels, drivetrain.

keep the opinions coming and no negative feedback.

I would agree with those qualifications if it didn't eliminate 95% of the favorites already posted in this thread. I'd say only Tunedport335 and the Sinister would qualify if this was the case. I do notice you said SHOULD. But we should all just keep an open mind and ask yourself, "Which car has inspired me to go out and modify/restore my car the most?"

Axle/Gears: 3.73
Thank you irocbuilder!

I know I don't post a lot (ok I have lately LOL) but most modified would definitely include a complete engine change, different paint completely, completely new interior, custom shifter plate, different shifter ****, custom seat covers, custom gauge panel and all new gauges (ok I'm still working on those), guess I should add new hood too.

Maybe we should be able to at least mention ourselves in case we've been forgotten about. A lot of us on the board have done a considerable amount of work to our cars over the past year but may not know enough people for it to be 'known'.

I think it's best the way it is. Otherwise it turns into a gigantic me too post like all the Favorite F-body posts turn into. There are some cars being forgotten that are modified quite a bit, unfortunately I can't remember them either. lol

Robin,

It's a nice car although I am not fond of the "SS" badge on the back. It just doesn't fit.

Go Dawgs!
