It's FINISHED!
Actually, the car has been done for a while, but I had a quick government funded "vacation" to New Orleans a little bit ago. This car has been 4 years in the making. Almost everything on this car has been replaced, fixed, or refinished. There's a few more small things that I have to put on (1.6 RR's, some hatch weatherstripping and a little bit of paint to touch up on), but this is what she's going to look like as I have no other mods planned for her . . . atleast visually. Modding might resume based on the results I get from the dyno.
The goal was to give her a sleeper-esque appearance, but uniquely mine. I also wanted to maintain a stock type image on the interior as well, so I was able to pick up some mint (34k miles) Firehawk seats locally and got a very subtle Kenwood EZ500 headunit. The motor was also done very subtle on outward appearance, but I'll save that for another thread. OK, enough blabbering.

AFTER: (no detailing outside of tire shine, just washed)

But it's a metallic gray that really brightens up when the sun hits it. Yet at night the car is damn near pewter. I like it alot.
Thanks for the compliment though.

so you re-did the whole car. I always wanted to take a 3rdgen and do that. Did you totally strip it down and make sure every bit of rust was gone/ repaired and then do a full under coat on the underside and stuff.

Nice looking car!
It's great to see that there's still some people on this board that can put together beautiful unique looking thirdgens without turning them into freakshows.
Good job man!

is the color a formula, or is it a straight from dupont color?

cool, looking at it in person, how does it compare to gunmetal gray (in my sig)? because like i said, im repainting soon, and if possible I want to leave door jambs and inner hatch etc alone. or at least just kinda tint it a little so i dont have to strip the car.

from seeing your car in person zz4...this color looks alot more bright honestly, seems like you could get away without the door jambs/engine and stuff but would still be way off...
Could always just mix the color into a darker shade thatd would look nice
Gunny once again beautiful car, the first pic is my background desktop

so, this would make it darker in the day and darker at night too...like it would still have the uv/light sensitivity if i added a darker color that was not...or would it still have the effect but not as dramatic? i think i will copy you and make that my background too lol.

I'm actually a little suprised by the responses I'm getting given that it's so subtle.
I would also like to take this time to thank everybody on here who helped me out in the decision process and all the little SNAFU's that I ran into here and there. Not to mention the fine folks who sell NOS stuff on the Classifieds Board.
And a special shout out go to Shifty Capone for pushing me over the edge on the ROH Snypers. I swear I must have mulled over it for about 10 months before finally spending the money.
Although I know it's not perfect, I was trying to reach close to the level that Kandied and CamaroGuy18 and Boyd have inspired some of us to get to. Now if we had one of those "beer smilelys" this is where I would put it and say "long live turd gens."

WOW! My Jaw honestly dropped as well. I clicked this post expecting to see a nice thirdgen, but instead saw THE PERFECT THIRDGEN!
That is by far in the top 5 on this site. Easily. The interior is by far number 1 in my books. Really goes well with the outside. The wheel choice is awesome.
Be proud of what you have, because I would give my left nut for it.

As for the wheels, I still have them. I've thought about polishing them up just for fun, but I have no reason to.

Dupont Pepper Gray Metallic, I'm loving that colour more and more every time I see it. She's a beaut Gunny, subtle while still being a real head turner.

All i have to say is WOW. I love the color, its a great choice for the styling and the interior is just unbelievable. Very tastefully done. I always like that color, or anything similar to it after i saw a 89ish t/a on the boards. Do you have any engine pics? Im going to be doing a swap soon and I need some examples.
