How long should I wait?!

First off, awesome forum. I just bought my first car, and it happens to be a fully restored 85 IROC-Z. I can see I fit in perfect here. I love my Maro. Anyway, My car just got painted on Friday the 14th and thankfully the weather around here's been perfect.. so I've been letting it sit in the sun to let the paint settle. I have all the official GM decals for it, but I didn't know how long I should wait to put them on. I was also wondering if I did by chance put them on here soon, if it would affect the car if I decided to buffer the body. Would buffing/washing the car affect the decals at all, if I do put them on?

All input is appreciated. Rock on.

I've heard you should wait three months until you wax it. I'm not very knowlegeable about this stuff. Maybe someone will be along who knows what he's talking about, otherwise ask the body shop.

You can put them on now if you want , but a week or more should be good, I had my 74' Nova painted recently and had decals on days later, as far as waxing/washing I waited 2 months but I just normally wipe the dust & dirt off with a soft cloth. Good luck with it
