Care of matte or satin finishes
Ok, I'm considering the primer look for two of my cars, figure satin black paint would hold up well, but how do you protect such paint from UV and weather? Normally you would wax the thing, but with a satin finish? clearcoating seems like somthing I probably wont try to afford so thats out...What do you do?

Keep it out of the sun as much as you can and keep it clean. I redo mine annually.

so is low cost primer the way to go? keeping it out of the sun will be hard.
