Poll: Does this sound stupid??

I'm looking to install a set of chrome valve covers on my 87 Trans Am 350 TPI, I've decied to go with the Chrome center bolt valve covers from Gm Performance Parts the ones with the red Chevy Bowtie and red stripes, Well I told my wife the ones I wanted to get and her reply was isn't that a Chevy logo why would you put a Chevy logo on a Pontiac Trans Am, that's stupid it don't make any sence, Well I told her it's because the engine is made by Chevrolet and therfore it makes sence. Well she don't agree with me and I said let's ask other's what they think. So is it stupid to put a valve cover with a Chevy logo on a Pontiac? That's the question

just my opinion:
I'd put a GM labeled cover if i HAD to, but NEVER, EVER will a bowtie adorn my birds. Its not that i don't like the symbol or what it represents (its all the same underneath) but i think it totally clashes with the rest of the car.

i think polls are stupid and i think you ought to do what you want, it's you car. i'm moving this to the appearance board, it seems like it belongs there more than here.

How about this:
Either Summit or JC whitney has valve covers that say "350".

I like the fact that you want to put the bow ties. I say go for it! It was your first instinct to say, "Yes, this is what I want". Dont change that because someone told you that they would not do it. Its not like you are putting them on a Probe. GO FOR IT!!!!

These are the kinds of things that only u can answer. Deep down i think u know what the answer is and none of us can tell u.

So if one day your are at the local burger joint and some one asked u to pop your hood, if your first thought is about the covers......dont do it. If it isnt.....
go for it.

I have the bowtie ones one my TA. Anybody with any knowledge of the cars knows it's a chevy engine anyways.
