You better have one awesome interior setup and suspension setup then! Haha. For about $4,700 I've picked up an SCT Livewire tuner that was over $500 alone, a well built 26 spline T56, Centerforce clutch, Fidanza flywheel, 03-04 Cobra aluminum driveshaft, Steeda Tri Ax shifter, a Vortech V1 setup rebuilt with V2 internals, 36LB injectors, a 90MM Ford racing MAF, all piping, oil feed, brackets, a new front bumper with fog lights included, a BBK offroad X pipe.
Basically everything I'd need to handle up to 380 RWHP for now. With some 60LB injectors and a KB boost a pump on a Walbro 255 I could probably hit 450 on the stock engine.
And that's all stuff for the Mustang, that crowd usually wants top dollar for their stuff. I've priced out a lot of stuff for the IROC though, and it does get very expensive. Basically I'm looking at over $5,000 pretty easily just to have a built aluminum headed, forged internal 383 and a built 700R4 that could handle some decent power. Not including the fuel setup, or any power adder related stuff since I want to go twin turbo with the IROC.

$4000, was repainted, 95k miles. Only problem at the time was the right turn signal, which I fixed easily. No lights, no huccups, no oil burning, no leaking, no overheating, no malfunctioning gauges, no t-top leakage, ..... no sagging doors. A/C works. 5 speed manual, 5.0 tbi. No wiring has been touched on the car. Completely unmolested.

found this car earlier this year. bought it for $800. it sat in the back of a guys garage for the last 14 years. 1984 Z28, L69, 5spd, ttops. overall the car is in pretty good shape. the motor runs, but I'm 99% sure its got a bad valve or something. trans was completely rebuilt (in fact it was still out of the car when I bought it) I'm putting together a vortec head 350 right now for it. otherwise a pretty solid car. one small dent in LF fender. I had the tail lights out in that pic when I was cleaning it up (sorry for crappy cell phone pics)

haha well I might have everyone beat on the price...I paid 200 for my 85 Sport. now with a 50 dollar hood, 25 dollar rims, and 450 dollar tires....all she needs now is paint. All I did to start it was put in a battery and some gas and it cranked right up. (before and after)

I am in negative territory price wise because I bought my IROC at one of those storage locker auctions for $250 and also a couple of parts cars. (just less then $1500 total)
Then I stuck all the best parts on the IROC like the dr fender and front/rear bumper covers because they were chunked like the steering column. The wheels were replaced with earlier IROC wheels (fronts all around) because I like the way they stick out a little in the rear. Included in the price is the 4th gen interior seats and I even put in a used windshield from one of the parts cars.
I turned around and sold all the extra Ground effects, rust free floor parts, columns, wheels and a zillion little parts but there are a zillion parts left as well as a nearly complete '85 Z/28.
The good news is it gets 25mpg with the 305TPI and it completely reliable except when the fuel regulator blew up.
Over $1000 in profit and lots of parts left over but the bad news is it looks like this after 2 and a half years.

I do have the IROC hood back on now but otherwise it still needs final bodywork and paint.

$4,000
89 GTA with 112,xxx on body and around 25,000 on freshly re-BUILT L98 and rebuilt trans with stall converter and shift kit.
Near perfect interior and only one spot of rust on the entire car.
Bought in April and have already put about 3,500 miles on her.
Needed little things like headlight motor, hatch pulldown assembly, turn signal switch and so on.
I've probably already poured about 2700 into her.

Yes, I got her about a month ago for free. I had been working on her for a buddy (tranny build, rear main seal, exhaust, etc...). He got a promotion in New Mexico & in this new job he will be traveling quite a bit (also has 4 other cars). So he signed the title over to me, his exact words: "You have put more hours in labor than she is worth, I don't have the time, place, to restore her". Of course I was pretty surprised/taken back....
Here is a recent pic, the sig pick is from her "glory days" which I hope to bring back. I am putting the vette wheels on this weekend that I refer to in the sig.

Thank you! The PO didn't know. I wanna say it was in bits and pieces. When I got her she had massive clear coat oxidation on the hood and roof. Needed to be wetsanded and re-buffed.Originally Posted by IMissMy86TA

$900, came with an extra of pretty much everything except the engine, trans, hood, body, and subframes. Came with a '76 350 and a saginaw 4 speed, neither installed, front bumper and front fenders weren't on, either. Got my hands on a WC T5, put everything together, now I'm just down to the last of the body work and paint.

It's a Turbo II wing from ASCD for 82-92 Camaro/Firebird. I believe it's been discontinued. I bought it almost 20 yrs ago.Originally Posted by Tank91RS
