How much You paid and A picture of your Car...
Ok my family finally got the insurance settlement on my car. We got alot of money for it, but with me going to college in Aug., my dad needing a new work truck, and the fact that i didnt even pay for all of the car when we bought it...I'm not gonna be able to spend nearly as much money. We worked it out and I'm gonna have less than $4,000 to spend...and i want to see how much you guys paid for your cars and what they looked like. This should give me a good idea of what i can expect, or should expect to get in my price range.

What I Paid
Hi,
My 87 Formula was $13,260 in October of 1986, with 112 miles on it(Scherer Buick/Pontiac's owner's wife was driving it when I bought it). After almost 20 hard years and 223,000 miles, it is now being restored in my driveway.
A word of wisdom to all-NEVER, EVER SELL YOUR TOYS. EVER!!!!
(Going by some of the listings on EBay, the various cars I have sold and disposed of-71 Challenger Convertible, 69 Dart Swinger, 3-1968 Roadrunners, 74 Charger SE, etc. I'd have been in the 6 digit range for musclecar investments. DARN!!!)

$2,000 when we first got mine. Only major mechanical problem was a busted motor mount. And the usual third gen aches and pains (still workin on those )
This picture is after I cleaned it up a bit.

$2700 for the red one, and $2500 for the blue one.
Red one had 64,000 on the clock, and took $400 to get road worthy.
Blue one had 105,000 on the clock, and 10,000 on a re-built 350. Took about $1000 to get road worthy.
There's a couple third gens for sale up here in the Stroudsburg area, not show stoppers like yours, but pretty nice rides as far as I can tell from the outside. PM me for details.

Got mine in trade for an '85 Yamaha Phazer. Had no motor (ran out of oil, threw a rod), but the T5 had been rebuilt! This is it about $3000 later with new motor (converted to carb), Viper seats, new carpet, fourth gen axle, and C5 brake upgrade.

I paid $1200 bucks and it had 68055 miles on it.......it also suffered a bad engine fire, everything under the hood got burnt, wish I had pics of it when I bought it but here it is as of last fall, now it looks like crap cause I hit a deer in feb and I am saving for a new paint job.

I bought mine in December of '99 for $4200.00 from a guy that was trying to trade it in on a new one. The dealer offered him $1500, and he told them to go F**K themselves. It had 119,000 on it and the pic below was taken the second day that I had it.
