wow - well thanks - most appreciated!!! I thought that color was a pretty common color? it's like a metallic burgandy. maybe it is a different color than the standard burgandy though...I just assumed. it looks better in the pics than it does in person IMHO. the roof needs repainted...fading bad. the drivers side fender has a dent you can see in the pic. another small dent in the hood you can't see, and one of the fins on the hood vent is broke. oh - as most TA, the rear spoiler is falling apart....
it has a ton of potential, but I haven't had the funds to put into it. I do have a delima though - I have a 383 stroker I am thinking about putting in it, or a guy wants to trade me for a gen III 5.3 motor (similar to an ls1). what would you do?

i guess i'll contribute to my own thread...haha
My first Camaro:

Bought it with 45,111 miles, Immaculate Condition, L03/700r4, Z03 package, untouched tan (I know, wtf...TAN!?!?) interior. It was on a new car dealers front line (a Ford Dealer no less!). They had it listed for $13,000. My dad got them down to $6750 because we had bought 2 new cars from the dealer previously. Needed Nothing.
My second Camaro:

Bought it with 29,xxx miles on it. Immaculate Condition. LB9/700R4, T-tops, power seats, Z03 package. Saw it on Ebay and called the guy up and made an offer. Sadly i dont remember what the agreed upon price was...i think it was $7500? However the car was in Illinois. So me and my dad had to fly out to pick it up. On the way home we discovered it needed a fuel pump and a radiator (due to it sitting for about 5 years in someones garage). Had to leave it in Indiana at a chevy dealer for 2 weeks while they fixed it. In the meantime, we ordered brand new tires because the ORIGINAL TIRES that were on the car were dryrotted (haha about about 14 years!!). So in the end including all expenses the car cost over $10,000.

i paid 2,200 southern north carolina car. 145k miles when i bought it now 153K. very clean car and wont be winter driven, sitting in dry garage now. engine came out of JY pervous owner replaced it. i have no idea how many miles are on it, but it runs good. dont know how many miles are on the trans either, i dont know if its original but it shifts good and doesnt slip.work already done: ac fixed, fuel tank replaced(filler neck was screwed up), 14" open air cleaner installed, brakes and rotors, centerlink replaced, idler arm replaced, cap rotor wires, reproduction headliner installed, new visors, door trim replaced. work to be done:exhuast to be replaced (out with the 2-1/4" system, in with the 3" hooker 2055s, high flow cat and a hooker catback), interior(carpet, seat apolstry), new carpet, paint, maybe a better cam, T-top gaskets, ect ect. i have noticed that you can buy these cars on the cheap but they get expensive if you want to fix a lifes worth of neglect. 2,200 was cheap for a southern never salted car, i live in buffalo so most 18 yr old cars are in the JY or are in terrible condition. the only thing thats been wrong so far is not rust at all but alot of cleaning sat in impound lot for 4 years and became a haven for rodents. found the remains of a small nest on the back of the manifold and in fender wells covered in a dirty residue. its all easy to clean up with some simple green. car was running when i bought it. impound owner told me he had to do some work to it to get it running and sellable.

This is my 1988 Vert. The previous owner invested $15,000 in it, lost his storage spot, got PO'ed, put it in his front yard with a "For Sale" sign on it. I jumped on it at $6,000. I dumped another 2 G's in the Rock 'N Roll system, replaced some high dollar convertible only interior pieces, and rebuilt the tranny, total of $10,000 or so ($6,500 if the misses asks) invested.

I looked at all the posts in this thread, and the insurance industry will put you over a barrel and break it off in you if you don't get an agreed value policy. I have mine through Hagerty. Hagerty Collector Network The agreed value of my Vert is $18,000, and it only runs $324 a year in premiums. Check the site to see if your car qualifies.

I paid a little over $10,000 and she's appraised at $22,000 (Canadian currency). In Canada (and I believe in the US), there is an insurance clause called 19A. It is available from your regular insurance company (if you can't get special collector insurance). It states that the insurance company is to pay the recognised appraised value. It's another option for full coverage. Ask them about it for the details.

1992 Pontiac Firebird Formula V8 305. These cars are pretty rare for some reason. I bought her in Sept 06' for $3000 cdn. I am more of a Camaro fan than a Firebird fan but my all time favorite surprisingly out of the two brands is the 92 Firebird. She is my fav because of the teardrop front or bull nose as some people call it. I Just recently bought a new stereo and rear speakers but I have no pics because car is put up for the winter. Thats the first of many modifications I am thinking about. View the garage for bigger pics.
