Greetings!
I'm a big sport coupe fan myself, so i highly recommend NOT putting GFX's on. 98.76% off all the 3rd gen camaros on the road have GFX. Why would you go out of your way just to blend in?
I have the SLP Zr1 wheels, and i love them. Z06's are sharp too. Good choice there.
I wouldn't worry about making it fast, just start w/ replacing the worn out parts first, brakes, steering, shocks/springs, etc. Makes all the difference in the world. I'd recommend Spohn SFC's and their Wonderbar, once everything is up to par...these two items make a HUGE difference in everyday handling and driving.
A 3.4 v6 would be a straight forward bolt on, and offers a base 160HP and 200ft-lbs of torque. Externally the same size as your 2.8 also. A+ in the easy catagory.
Looks sharp! And welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard my friend.
If I were you i'd leave it as it sits, the car you have looks to be in good shape.
If you're looking to do a Z28 mod don't waste your time, the money you will spend on the ground effects and everything else ect. ect. ect. ect. ect. will not be worth the effort and the money.
Enjoy and love the car you have, you can always sell it and buy a newer one to your liking.

Nice looking car you got there! I wouldn't change anything on that car other than paint the spoiler same color as the car. I love the way your car sits, white letter tires, wheels, no GFX, and Ttops. IMO, you'd ruin the car by getting GFX, and putting 18" on it. But, in the winter when it snows, you could always lower your car and plow the roads for people with the front GFX. Naw just kidding but they do remind of a snow plow. I don't really like that shifter either. How much did you pay for the car?

That looks really straight. Good job. I still love the sport coupes and have thinking about picking another one up for a project. I say go for the 18"s,those will look huge with no gfx. I don't know if anyone here has tried this here, but I was able to plastic weld in the small slits on the nose and smooth it out to look like the newer nose, but still no gfx. I did this on an '85 as well. It really smooths the front out.

Yeah I was thinking about doing something like that. I found some pictures of sport coupes, and covered the holes in with MS Paint. Looks good without them.
bought car for $1700
yeah the spoiler is painted same as the car now, camera is on the fritz right now so no pictures since paint. yeah i think 18's would look pretty killer without gfx.
any particular wheels u guys would suggest?
im lookin to spend at most $1500 on wheels
currently my 2 favs are tt2's(played out though) and the corvette z06's
also im thinking about the tail light black outs. since paint the molding on the doors and emblems are gone along with the spoiler no longer being black i feel like i need a little somethin to accent the red and go along with the dark windows and ttops. any bad experiences with the blackouts or thoughts on them?

I think that I said it before but that is one nice looking sport coupe. Reminds me of my highschool days in my blue 85. I had black outs on my car and thought that they looked really cool, but today I would switch to a grid style and do the red mod on them then smoke them very lightly. I think that that would look really cool especially if you had z06 wheels, and painted them a gunmetal with polished lip. Good lick with the car, and make sure NO gfx find their way on there.
