Ok, so I've contacted a german company and I'm gonna order a front from them:

But the thing is that I don't whant the license plate bracket. Take a look at the top picture. there you see it without the license plate bracket.I don't think much of it.
So i talked to the company and asked if there's something they could do bout this. They sent me these pics:

So I need your opinion on wich of those two noses (the one with the license plate bracket and the one without it) that looks the best!

Well. I kinda saw that coming.... But I've decided to buy one of the fronts. I don't whant a normal T/A, and I still haven't seen any Body kit/Front that looks good...
Here is a PS mod of how it would look with the custom front

If it's what you want and you don't need a front plate location, then get the one without the plate mount definitely. They sure do go extreme over there don't they!

i foresee the bottom portion flexing under air pressure from driving and saggin overtime because it has no supports. i say the first one, and then come up with some kind of grille or it'd be a great place to put an emblem. kinda like how i did with the old skool rs emblems on the front of my car. take a look:

but on topic. id say definitely get the one without the license plate bracket if you arent required to have a plate on the front. but you said all your getting is the front piece? i think that might look odd with just the front and not the sides and rear bumber cover. but it will definitely be unique

if you've got the same hood as in those pics, I'd say def with the plate mount.. kinda flows well plus the front end won't droop like an old lady after time. if you've got a stock hood, then the front end without.
here is another idea.. buy the front end with the plate mount, then customize it before paint.. this way you'd retain some front end support and you would definatly have something custom. get out a dremel tool or something and cut out several verticle bars out of the plate mount and make a custom grill that looks like this ---> ||||| my

what's the price tag on the front bumper?
Couldn't you just fill in the holes for the licence plate and put a firebird symbol in its place? I think you need that thing in the middle for support and strength.

It looks like the company just photoshopped the plate mount out (and did a shoddy job, too), so I assume they are just going to take one of their fronts, cut the plate mount out and patch the glass. I'm sure they will do a good job with it, but I agree with mw66nova that there won't be any support there, and that glass is going to be getting some MAJOR wind force on it.
Better just cancel the order ... your car will thank you for it.

I thought about doing a KITT replica at first, but this is way to badass to say no to!
The price tag is normally 1200Euros, but with the mod of the bumper plus a new supporting bracket: roughly 1600 Euros

if i had to choose i would pick the one without the bracket. you can always rig up somthing to support it. just run a small bracket out to it or somthing. paint the bracket black and no one will notice.
BTW at current rates
1 EUR = 1.26675 USD
1 USD = 0.789424 EUR
so that measn 1600 EUR = 2,026.79 USD !!!!!!!!!!! uh.... does that seem INSANE to anyone else! you could get some MAJOR engine stuff done for that ammount! for the love of Pontiac Division, just stick it out with the stock nose.

Hehe.. I get half price!
Remember one thing: I do not live in the states. I live in Norway. Things costs like 4 times as much here as it does in the US.
And I have no plans of keeping the engine I've got now... just this season and it will be replaced.

Hey bud,
I'd say definitely keep the center brace.
First off, you know you can't get away with no front plate here for long - so you'll need somewhere to put it.
Second, that front looks to be a bit longer/lower than the camaro nose - so you will scrape on some of the gazillion speed bumps and nasty roads over here. No doubt. Especially if you plan on lowering it too. And it's fiberglass, right? Scraping with no center support will likely cause it to crack out on the corners. Not fun.
So, for practicality and structural support - keep it.
BTW, did you say €1600?? Holy cr@p!

Thats a very good point Ken...
I'll think about it! They say that with the modified support bracket (behind the fiberglas) will be just as strong as the one with the plateholder.
What I can do with the licence plate is to order a small one and mount it inside the gap... that will surely fit.
And yes, I did say 1600!
But I get half price. And a downpayment over two months.. so I can afford it.

Oh. And one more thing:
It's not lower than a Trans am with GFX

I'll try to get a PS mod of that! so you mean like a square of grillmaterial instead of the licence plate? would'nt that just look wierd?

Oh.. and as told earlier in the post: The front is not lower than a gta T/A. So its the same as a 87 for instance. It only looks lower!
