Hmm ...

"THEY ONLY BUILT 75 CAMERO Z28 IROC’S AND THESE WERE ONLY BUILT IN 1986 ... THIS IROC CAMARO IS DOCUMENTED AND NUMBERED #523 OF THE 600 BUILT."

Anyone else confused?

Nice looking car though, always wanted one of those 2 seater Trans Ams.

ASC didn't build those...some other chopshop did...and i'd prefer the 4 seater version anyhow.

If I am reading this correctly

600 speedsters were built out of Camaros and Firebirds from 84 to 86
75 of these were made from the IROC model

therefore making it #543 of the 600 made and 1 of the 75 IROC model speedsters

I think its pretty sweet looking, I would like it more if the top wasnt snap on style

, Thats gay. Who puts wood trim in a camaro? The top doesnt look even....its kind of got a squarish roundish shape. Its one thing to do that to a restoration car or beater, but that car looked good before that.

The fit of that convertible with the top up is terrible. Those snaps that appear to run down the side are hideous.

I dont like it all too much. I mean it's sweet looking, but I'd probably take a 4 seater 'vert or t-top over it (excluding the fact that it's very rare). I dont like where the door meets the rear part of the car...seems awkward.

IT WILL RED LINE AT 7000 RPM IN ALL GEARS AND GET YOU THE FASTEST SPEEDING TICKET YOU COULD STAND.

Definitely gonna have to wave the BS flag on that one.

And if he has been redlining it at 7 grand in every gear, that motor is gonna last a long time.

I do enjoy how they used a lot of the factory parts in it though... Kind of amusing.. I see the motorized pulldown right behind the drivers seat for that little tonneau cover thing.. The factory dome light is mounted between the drivers seat.. It has the ugly '86 third brake light on it still.. Oh and the stock TPI that makes the most power between 6K-7K rpm of course...

WTF? I might have been blinded by the ugliness, but aren't cars after 1969 supposed to have shoulder harnesses as part of the seatbelt system, or that just a state thing? My year may be off a bit.

the shoulder harnesses come out right where the door meets the car, like on ASC converts. and YES seatbelts have been federally mandated with shoulderstraps for a long time now.. i know back in the early 60s they were an "option" for a while. and i know that shoulder harnesses were not required until somtime after 1965

EDIT*
WTF i don't see anywhere the seatbelts could go !! and you can see where the shoulder harness was removed from the stock belt..... WTF? is that legal... i had just assumed it was just like the ASC verts in that way, but it is not..

I'm not sure I'd call him a liar... I'm more inclined to think he's an idiot who just doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.

They definately made those cars and his numbers are correct... at the firebird lawn show up in saratogo, there wasa guy there with his 84 TA vert - looked like nothing i had ever seen before... it was an asc conversion!

The owner is obviously being a little bit of a sensationalist in stating it's performance and what not, but that is a very rare car...
