wet gloss look and short videos of lumpy idle
So what do you guys do to give your black cars the wet gloss look? I just rewaxed my car and yes it is shiney but I'm not getting the wet gloss look that I'm after... perhaps I should try a different brand of wax?
Also here is a couple quick videos of my car at idle with the new cam, heads, and roller rockers... sounds pretty mean for a 305 with the lumpy idle. Also bolted on a set of headers, wow.. man is it loud now!
Please right click and save as from the links below. Excuse the poor video quality, I'll re-rip with higher quality and repost it using google video. See my signature for my old burnout video.

Tell me what you think!

DAM! that sounds awsume!! How many miles were on the engine before you did the head and cam swap.I have been debating on installing the hot cam with just a valve spring swap.Do you know if that will work.Thanks.
woah dude, sweet! makes me really want to build up my little 305. How much faster does the car feel after the heads, cam, and rockers?
nice wheels btw, you should update your sig pic

thanks for the replies guys..
PROCHARGED; the car has around 80,000 original kms right now (around 50,000 miles) and I've only run a couple hundred kms on the new cam. You should be able to get away with valve springs, retainers, seats, and upgrade the locks when changing the cam... I put in the aluminum heads to boost up the compression a bit.
rwdtech - it feels as thou I've lost damn near all my torque from the bottom up.. doesn't really pull anymore until 2,000rpm, and the cams power range is from 1500 to 5500.. so redline is higher - about 6 grand. I will tell you though that there is alot more go higher up, and from 4,000 to 6,000 is like a fraction of a second - real fast revs. Bumming around town it feels slower and it definatly takes more throttle and dumping the clutch to get some tire spin (unlike before, just burp the throttle) however hitting the highway is where this thing now shines... zoooom. new sig pic comming soon, just updated my mods sig. btw, I'm working on restoring my torque.. thats where all the fun is for me. working on the runners, plenum, and intake to breathe better and get back some torque.. then rework the heads or scrap them all together for something better.. builder all up, then get elbows deep into a 383.
IROCThe5.7L - you've probably never heard one this aggressive before because I stuffed this one into a lil' ol 305.. plus I am in desperate need of a good tune. New programer has been bought and paid for, just waiting for it to arrive.

Man, I can't stop listening. I don't care what they say, Flowmaster has one of the best sounding exhausts out there.

hello Brisk sounds good from down here in texas. as far as the wet look it just depends on the paint and clear and how many coats of paint and clear was shot. but what i would suggest would be to wetsand and buff.

mw66nova as soon as I get a good tune and upgrade the intake/plenum/runners.. perhaps I'll get some times and we can have a virtual drag
