In 1986 the small plastic logo on the side of the car and on the back bumper say Z28. However it still says "Z28 IROC-Z" on the dash on the passanger side. You can also tell its an IROC because of the hood, the ground FX, the rims, and the big IROC-Z logos on the doors. Reason it doesn't have the logos on the side is because the car was repainted. I since have gotten the replacement GM stickers but I took that picture before I put the stickers back on. But it is a true IROC not some clone.

Hey Danny 89irocn20: your car Looks Fantastic man. i wish my car looked half as nice. is your interior original? or has it been redone? it looks great. you brought me back to making my car almost stock everywhere except the engine/trans/rearend, and the roll cage i am installing. and how does your progressive NOS work? great job on the car man.

Jim i still love your car and how your brought it back from h*ll. great job to your dad for painting. and put up some new pics on your site. have you wet sanded it yet this year and got the decals back on? that is an older pic so i didnt know. Great job though.

Keep up the good work the both of you.

Naw. I haven't done it yet. I'm still trying to get it to run right. Hopefully this year I'll get it buffed and get the decals back on. Lately I've been busy with the GTA, and that'll take priority this summer until I get it painted, then all focus will be back on the IROC.

RARE-ROC-Z Thanks for the compliments. The interior is orginal. The progressive controller works okay. I wasn't as impressed as I hoped I would be.

This used to be mine, but I sold it to my sister. I can't seem to get the picture to post, so I guess you could just go here and look at it. Go to the photo page. (It's the last picture.)

Ahh, you saw the pictures of my wrecked Z28, huh? I was going to work, on my birthday of all days, and I was doin about 55 MPH going through an intersection on the highway when a Ford duallie pulled out in front of me at the very last second. You can see the duallie I hit at the top of the first picture. A friend of mine that happened to be behind me, said that the back end of my car came up about 3 to 4 feet in the air. I had my seat belt on and the airbag deployed. I walked away from the accident with no more than a few pieces of glass in my hand. Obviously the Z was totalled. Man I loved that car!
