FINALLY took off that stupid windshielf banner that said "Chevrolet" on it. As if nobody in the parking lot knew my car is a friggin' Chevy anyways right? So basically that vinyl was a waste of my $25

But I think those tint strips make a car look like an armored truck or something. That, and when you drive it you feel like the roof is falling on you. At least that's what it felt like when we first got my car.

A tint strip would definitely be a big improvement, your moving in the right direction...keep it clean and simple.

 

I hate that! Take off the visor and see if the metal pole that holds it spins. If it does, you need to fix that. Yank it out, put some red Loctite in there, and make sure the visor is nice and tight. Problem solved.

 

i was told the only way to fix it is to buy a new one because the bushing goes out and it's no good anymore. I'll have to try that,

 

That's what I heard too. But this is working for me so far.

 

Looks 100% better! A 5% tint strip is a great idea. Add a strip and you can delete those visors. -A much cleaner look in my opinion.

 

Looks great man... much better. I'd keep it how it is if it were mine.. maybe getitng some new parking lights.

 

I'm rather suprised you didn't make a post with pictures for every letter you scraped off. (just ribbing ya).

or you can do what i did and recover the headliner and not cut the holes back out for them just leave em off. i did it to mine and i love it it looks soo much better. but make sure to keep a pair of glasses in the console

btw i like it with the sticker off but it looked fine with it on there too. pls dont get the tint stripe to me they look stupid.... i think it looks better with nothing there than with a tint stripe. but this is only my opinon.

Beautiful whip, man. Looks so much better without the banner. I would definately put the strip on, but the full 5% will look a bit harsh. I'm with Necro on the fade. Start with 5% on the top and gradually fade it to clear just beneath the mirror. It'll be functional, and look friggin' sweet. Whatever you do, anything is better than the banner.

 

I put a tint strip on my windshield (I really need to post some updated pics one of these days) anyways I went 5% and something like 9" down from the top..
