Do 4th gen nose emblems work on the 3rd gen bumpers?

Do 4th gen nose emblems work on the 3rd gen bumpers?
I'm seeing a bunch of people selling 4th gen nose emblems saying they work with 82-02. Do the 4th gen nose emblems fit right on the 3rd gens?

they fit in the location that the 3rd gens do but they don't have the studs on the back they just attach with double sided tape.

I almost got a deal, but some bastard outbid me in the last 5 seconds. I like the 4th gen one better, but I'm not sure I want to pay $40+ for it.
