427 vette scoop?

I have a 82 TA that I have finally after months got into primer, now I'm looking into getting some kind of a hood scoop for the thing. I don't much care for the cowl scoops, I do like the 4th gen style but just not for me. I'm liking the 427 corvette scoop.
Just wanted to see what you guys think of this? Any other idears that y'all could come up with?
Thanks for any help

Theres alot of generic bolt/glass on scoops that you can go for. Basically it will be trial and error unless you land the one you like the first time. I say go for it! Its always good to see a new oddball scoop that looks awsome.

I've been looking at all the different scoops for a while and so far thats all I'm been able to come up with that I like, so maybe I will just order it and hope that I like afterwards.
The one thing I worried about is that its like 23.5 inches wide. Would that be to big for the hood?

I'd recommend just buying the entire hood...

Sailorrick, I've been wanting to put one on my 84s hood also... been seeing the Vette's being sold on Barrett-Jackson auctions and those scoops are the best-looking ever made.....wanted one ever since I was a kid and some guy that lived up the street had a '67 427 with sidepipes and 4 speed, blue with black scoop............havent looked into them much yet, they are available in f/glass, would you make it functional or just for appearance? it would look much better than the cowl scoops......

I've never seen anything with that scoop on that did not look good to me. My uncle has a 68 Chevy truck with one and it looks excellent . If you can find one, I would buy a one piece instead of bonding one on though.

I'm thinking I will most likely go with that scoop .
I talked with unlimited products the other day and was told that it would take about 4-5 weeks to get to me, I don't have much troubles with having to wait BUT I live in washington state by then the rain could be here .
When I do get a scoop I will cut the hood also.
