What Color is My Car?????

I have an 88 camaro with stock paint and small damage on the back. I was wondering if anyone knows what the colors are when its a regular red and silver for the ground effects. Also is there some prep work i should do for chipped of paint on the rear ground effects and what would be the best way to fix it. Thanks. (If needed i can see if i can find the serial numbers and maybe post a pic)

Your paint codes are located on your RPO sheet, without a pic and even with one, it's hard to tell.

Im about 90%sure its stock because in the wheel wells where its slightly chipped theres no other paint underneath as well as inside the engine bay.

Like I stated before my friend, the paint codes are located on your rpo sheet.

The RPO sheet will be either under the center console lid, or in the rear hatch "glove box" drivers side behind the rear seats. At the bottom of the RPO sheet under all the 3 digit RPO codes is a code string that begins with BCCC and then a set of numbers (4-8 numbers, can't remember). Thats the paint code you need to buy the OEM paint color. The names don't mean mutch, its the numbers that matter. Like these guys said this only applies if its OEM paint, if its been redone then who knows. Good luck!

Re: What Color is My Car?????

My car is dark bright teal metallic. I got this off the rpo code-37Q, 37U-U being the primary color, Q being the body side moldings. how do I get the correct paint, say, from PPG?
