Does beer do anything to paint?

I hate living in a college town. I was over a friend's house watching some movies and I go out to my car to drive home. I look at the back of my car and there is a half crush can of beer resting on my hatch. Picked it up and there was still beer in it and there was some on my car. I looked over my car and wiped it off with a terry cloth. This happened anywhere between 9:00 and 1:00 at night. I was planning on washing tomorrow, so i might take some clearcoat scrub to it and give it a quick wax. I'm sure nothing's wrong with it. But does beer do anything to paint?

won't hurt paint, but will hurt my feelings, that's alcohol abuse. just wash it off and it'll be fine.

If beer hurt paint, then there would be a TON of posts on it here already ... just judging by the usual Thirdgen crowd ... we LOVE our BEER!!

Physically no.

But it's painfully obvious that beer had some effect on some cars you see.

Yea beer wont...but dont ever get soda on your car. I went to look at a formula one time that had some people leave some soda on the spoiler in the back and it ate right through the clearcoat. Looked really bad...

Silver bullet , that stuff is worse than PBR, Busch, or Natty Ice.
