I know its not what your looking for but you could convert to SD...

Without knowing which hood it is and what kind of clearances you have it is impossible to tell.

One solution may be is to take your Stock 85 T/A air box, and seperate the lid of the airbox...

Your airbox lid is made from 2 pieces, a metal ring and a plastic square, they are attached from a single point in the center where the bolt goes through. Essentially its a large pop-rivet, Drill it out one side of the rivet with with a 1/2 drill and seperate the 2 halves. You can later re-insall the two together and it will appear and function the same as it does now except they will not come off at the same time.

Once you have the 2 pieces seperated, install the metal ring back onto the canister and then route the forced air induction into the top of the canister... whala you have RAM AIR. and it still uses your MAF. It sounds easier in theory, but anything is possible.

i just made a "ghetto" intake for just the cost of the filter

I took the rubber duct of the tb, 45 degree elbow, maf + filter to left side

Why not use the rubber duct of the tb, Maf then straight to a filter into the RAM air hole's inthe hood?

I just cut the plastic on the ram air box and the duct work to make it fit
