prep your own hood from gt??

Hey I was just on G&T Fiberglass ram air hoods, cowl hoods, wings and spoiler and they now have a hood that you can prep yourself. It looks easy. Anyone try one yet?? Looks like you can save a few $$ or does anyone have one of the pin on hoods?

as far as im concerned there are NO aftermarket fiberglass hoods that you DONT have to work on and prep before u paint them. none of them come completely ready for paint, that ive seen. so if you can save a few bucks buying a hood that you can finish, its probably worth doing

I just ordered one and they said I will have it within 2 weeks. I got one of there finished hoods about 3 years ago and had to do nothing to it but sand and paint. It looks easy to prep. We will see.

I heard that those hoods do not fit well and match up with body lines, anybody able to testify about this?

I got one of there firebird ram air hood a few years ago and it fit great. Only thing I did have to do is round out one hole in my hinge. This time I am getting one for my 91 Camaro. My buddy got one of there cowl hood and that fit good also.
