Polishing Tail lights

What are the steps, tips, tools, etc etc. that are involved with polishing the tail lights?

Im interested in doing this after looking at the "rear end" pic thread.

If you have a buffing wheel, just buy some fine rubbing compund and go to town. Just make sure you dont get the plastic to hot or you will melt it. I have a multi speed buffer, so I turn it on low and go at it.

i bought a cheap *** buffing kit from Home Depot, chucked it into my drill press and went to town. worked great!

I didnt wetsand mine, I just cleaned them, used 3M Plastic Polish, 10" buffer, and worked it til she shined.

I sanded the lettering off mine and then polished them with Meguiars polish and waxed em. I also wax em each time I wax the car.

u dont want to much waz on them or after time it will look fogey but sand them and use plastic polise on it with a buffer
