finally decided what i wanna do with my 89

i know im gonna get ripped on for this one .. but what do you guys think?? forst shave the keyholes and the antenna. then British Racing Green with White Racing Stripes (paint matched handles too). 17" 5 star powdercoat white wheels on 40 series tires. Stock tips off the 94+ z28's (the square ones) but chromed out. H4 headlamp conversion with ultrawhite bulbs. Blacked out GTO taillight covers, clear front GTO headlight covers. New 5% tint all around and 85% on the windshield.

now thats a different looking thirdgen!!! kinda reminds me of european touring or LeMans or something. heheh

Sounds good to me, but I agree with Rare about the handles. I think anything that makes the handles blend into the rest of the car is a good thing. Painting them white will make them stick out like a sore thumb. But if that is what you want, do it, and just ignore those who would flame.

damn i wish I could shave the handles too but unfortunately Hawaii has some insane strict reconstruction laws and get this .. it is ILLEGAL to shave the handles completely. They said I could reloacte them but Im not allowed to shave them because emergency people would need to use the handle if I got into an accident. Hows that for BS!!! I could say screw it and shave it all but Im sick of wondering if a cop is gonna mess with me because of some stupid equipment violation. So I decided to just paint the handles green to match the body and they wont stick out as much.

i got over 7 tickets last year for no reconstruction on my truck. that sucks!!!

Thats a dumb law even if you have door handles on your car if your doors are locked emergency people wouldnt be able to use them for anything anyway, they'd still have to break the window to unlock the door and if they did that they might as well open the door from the inside anyway

I've seen later model handles, the kind that are recessed into the door, retrofitted on thirdgens before. Looks cool and is still functional.
