No I didnt watch the video but I've also done burnouts until my POS 91 overheated, then did it again. Hahahah!! And this is with a 100+k mile L03/700R4 combo and OEM cooling system. I'm not saying its good for the car, but the car did not end up in the scrap yard from a few wild burnout sessions. Now maybe if I did that every day of the week then yeah something will break. I've been abusive, I've tested the limits. I would put my money on the 700R4 going first. But its not gonna happen from one or two or even three. Its when you're doing it all the time that you become an abusive owner.

Then he did it again.

My point is based on what I see, just imagine what he does to that car when we are not watching. Please put 2 & 2 together.......

pretty much everything i do is video taped so thats about it, and also i let the car cool off before i did anymore...and i stopped the burnouts because the car started to heat up i could have kept going.

You must not know what you’re talking about. Assuming of course that he never purposely overheated the car and that he really did let it cool off in between burnouts, how is he destroying his car? It’s probably loading down that little weak engine pretty well, but at those RPMs the load is more likely to just bog it down then send a part through the oil pan, block, etc. It’s not an exceptionally good thing to do to the transmission but I don’t see a few burnouts every now and then destroying one (I know that’s been my experience for a while now). Even the 7.5” 10 bolt can handle a low power burnout, I just don’t see an otherwise healthy rear-end grenading because of what is shown in the video.

That’s not too smart because:

I’ve seen it happen many times to… Though always from drunken burnout sessions and not at the track.

You’re so lost on the concepts of burnouts that it’s amazing. You’ve never bolted slicks onto your ride and ran it down the strip? How do you warm them up?

I used to use that line in kindergarden.
You seem really intelligent, so I'll ask you to explain to me how doing a 2800 RPM burnout is going to "destroy" a car.

Yea, uh whatever

Sounds like you have a healthy cash flow. If that's the case then why is your "muscle car" struggling to do a burnout? Stock Dodge truck doing better donuts?

But just doing the random burnout every once in a while isn't going to land your car in the scrap yard.
Exactly my point.

Yeah, I'd put my money on the tranny going first to...

Online170 seems to disagree with us though. A random sub 3000 RPM burnout will surely toast the engine first.

My parents dont give me money, I work my *** off for it if thats what you ment by that comment, and also yeah a stock dodge truck puts out more hp than my car thats why i dont really care in putting any money into a 305 or even keeping it. So why cant i go beat the **** out of my 305 motor that is being replaced...and my 700r4 transmission is being replaced and my rear end that leaks which i could care less about having anyways? Yeah cars break big deal....people take their cars to the track and beat on them. I really dont see the difference there. You can add up all the burnouts some does on their car at the track and it would just about equal that. All i am trying to say that is i know that burnouts arent good for my car but i could care less cause im having fun doing it. Its not that i dont care for my car its that i dont care for some of the parts of my car.

One, where one gets there money is of no concern. If your parents don't give you any, fine. If they buy you a brand new E55 AMG, fine.

My comment wasn't directed at the whole "beating" up on your car thing. I'm not as rowdy as I used to be but I can assure you I still put everything I own through its paces - you should see me ride my Banshee

It was more directed at this whole, "I'm going to swap engines, transmissions, and drop coin on a 9" setup so I don't care about this." If you got the coin to drop on all of that stuff then why does a pickup make more power? That's all I'm pointing out....

Car: I've had 4 thrid gens!!
Engine: Someday again I will have another!!
Been to the track a couple of times and never did enough burnouts to add up to that. I also do not recall OVERHEATING my engine.
