Those rims are probably a different offset too.
Nothing wrong with a good burnout. There is so many ways to have fun with these cars. I perfer high speed cornering and going to the dragstrip.

50000 on the motor 170000 on the car...tires were bad and unsafe to drive on the track.

Well thats not what i mean, i was saying thats really really bad for your car. Your gonna blow the engine in no time, and destroy ur car pretty quick. So you must be a pretty talented builder,or a really wreckless guy to do stuff like that with ur car.

Nice burnout, but watch out for doing too many brake stands. As for the people that think it is stupid, oh well. Your car, so do what you want. I do burnouts with my SHOW car. (just sucks getting off all the rubber later)

cool video, nice burnouts for a 305 motor.. u gotta watch the temp gauges tho,
also, its not good to do too many brake-stand-burnouts, cuz ur Killing your rear drum brakes .. get a line lock setup, doesnt cost much ($170)

As for the rest of the comments, man if you got $3k to put into your car every few months, thats great, power to ya! But we dont all have money comin out the waazoo... Someone mentioned the revs werent high enough to do the damage, did you miss the part where he boiled his coolant/water? Its just alot of strain on the engine, and your prolly boiled ur brake fluid too if your rear brakes are any good. Your burnouts were near a minute long, or a bit longer even, thats just alot of strain on the car, and if your trying to convince me you didnt hurt the car, your gonna fail pretty quickly.
But in the end, yea burnouts ARE cool, and im not saying ive never done one, or am trying to stop anyone, im just saying the way irocZ is doin them is gonna shave a few years off the life of the car and engine.
Yea its a 305, and ive beaten on a few of them in my day, but i sure as hell wouldnt do that to something i just built and poured money into. If you really got too much $$$ i wouldnt mind taking some off ur hands, could use it for the tuition
I like 5678TA's 30ft tire line though, thats all engine, but you are a lil crazy, i wouldnt do it on ur street! What if a kid pops out from behind a car????

You need to get your prm's up when you do that because you put more strees on the drivetrain at lower rpm's because the tires arent spinning fast enuff and are getting to much grip so get um up and keep smokin

Whats the point in having a "muscle car" that sits in the garage with a blown motor, because you had to pour water on the road to do burnout after burnout? That is not muscle, that is stupidity. Are you going to own me now?

there are other places to burnout but my car is nowhere near quiet and i dont like to burnout in "public".. the police would be on my *** in under a minute.. they are everywhere.. my street is one of a few in the district that was recently paved=smoooooth road and i dont have to worry about police..

Right, but, judging from what we see (driver included), the motor, the trans, the rear end, one of those is going to go. What happens then? The car will sit in the yard for a few years, the grass will grow over it, next thing you know the car is in the scrap yard.
Just another Iroc-Z gone?

The tranny was going to be replaced for a better one anyways. The motor is being replaced with a 350. And as for the rear end well that would just give me a reason to put a 9 inch in. I wouldnt do those burnouts if i knew that if something were to happen that i wouldnt be able to fix it.

ya i do the same **** cuz i want to swap everything to i need to do it for a reason so ill just beat the engine to the ground and i can care less bout the rear cuz its a open carrier https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...s-my-86-a.html
I agree burnouts create unwanted heat that can prematurely wear many parts of the car, but I think alot of you are over-reacting. Maybe if you did a long burnout every day of the week for weeks/months straight then yeah you can expect things to break. But just doing the random burnout every once in a while isn't going to land your car in the scrap yard. Some of you guys sound like you're not down with burnouts, pretty sad if you ask me.

Did you watch the video? The car overheated.........
Then he did it again.
My point is based on what I see, just imagine what he does to that car when we are not watching. Please put 2 & 2 together.......

DO YOU THINK THATS FUNNY
YOU ARE CRAZY MAN
Hmm, ok well you just go right ahead and do that.
