Does anyone know if the twin turbo/corvette turbo hood has any real performance enhancing qualities or if it is basically for show? It seems to be one of the most scarcely seen/mentioned camaro hoods (maybe there's a reason for that ) so i can never find any info on it. Thanks to you guys here i finally got to see it painted and on an actual car. Anyway, if someone knows anything about it's features or anything please let me know. Thanks.

 

mostly show, but the fiberglass instead of steel reducess front end weight. If you were to cut out the openings, you could reduce underhood temperatures, but you would have a water problem driving in the rain.

 

I DON'T HAVE THE SCREENS IN MINE BUT HAVE EXPERIENCED NO RAIN PROBLEMS. IT PROBABLY COULD BE MADE TO WORK BUT I JUST PUT IT ON AND WENT TO WORK SCARING RUSTANGS AND TOYOTAS. ON THE OTHER HAND YOU GET ALL TYPES TRYING YOU BECAUSE OF THE HOOD LIKE THE OTHER DAY THIS CADDY SEVILLE ALMOST BLEW HIS ENGINE. I SLOWED DOWN SO THE GUY WOULD LOSE HIS CAR. FUNNY. ANYWAY GET THE HOOD IF YOU WANT AND DON'T WORRY ABOUT MAKING IT WORK IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO.
