Finally got my new wheels on!

The wheels are American Racing Rebels in 17"x9" and the tires are BFG g-Force Sports in 275/40/17. These tires are fricken meats, especially compared to those wimpy 215/60/15s that were on there before (yes, I know they were supposed to be 215/65/15s). I wish AR made the 17"s in 8" wide because these just BARELY fit in the front, sometimes they do scrape a little at full lock. Apart from that, they fit about as perfect as you can get, they're not stuck so far in the wheel well that they look funny but they don't stick out either. Now I'm glad I didn't order the 1.25" adapters for the front. The stance is perfect too, I was a little worried that the 1" drop springs wouldn't be enough but they were just right.

Here's the pictures:

I forgot the tire shine because I wanted to finish getting that blue crap off two of the tires. I almost didn't even go and take those pictures because I thought the sun was too low but it was actually perfect. That first picture is my favorite picture I've ever taken. It wasn't a junker, it was always in good shape but it wasn't anything special. Just a base V6 Camaro with t-tops. This is how it looked when I bought it:

The Rebels only come in +24mm offset.

Those wheels are awsome. I still have the factory 16's on my Z. I'd like to see how they look on my car. May be too much black. On your car gorgeous

looks really good man i like the polished lip all black wheels look absolutely hideous to me but thats my opinion. how tall is the sidewall on those? i wish my back wheels were 9" instead of the 8" i was afraid to run a 275 tire on it but yours look really good and fat, i have 245/45 front and rear and i think im going to go with a 275/45 on the back when i get new ones.

btw imo those g-force tires are the best looking tires out there i was going to run those but i ended up finding a really different tread design that i really liked.

I wish I could have gotten 8" wide in the front so they wouldn't scrub but AR is very limited with the size selections on this wheel for some reason.

Yeah, the tread design on this tire is awesome. As soon as the bead gets good and set in I'm gonna see what these babies can do, so far with the light cornering I've done I'm very impressed with them. The tires the previous owner put on the car were not only the wrong size (215/60 rather than 215/65) but they were the cheapest ugliest tire I've ever seen.

you cant fit a 275/45 on an 8 inch wide wheel. even if you could, it would look goofy

I know, I would have gotten a 245/45 instead of the 275/40 on an 8" wide wheel for the front.

Looks great! Stance is just right too. But lemme get this straight... you're not using any adapters at all, none on any of the wheels? But if you are, what size/which end?

I can see that the rear wheels fit very well, but I'd love to see a pic with the front wheels not turned, pointing straight ahead to see how they fit.

I thought I mentioned it. I used 1" adapters all around. The fronts fit exactly like the rear.
