Where to find a good paint shop?

I think we've all established that Maaco, without a lot of prep work, isn't the greatest place. I might still go there, depending. Assuming I don't though (they did a job on my old bird, not bad, but was coming off in swaths this spring, two years old), where would I even look for a good, durable, but near show car finish paint job? I don't even know where to start.

Go to some shows now that the warmer weather is coming and start asking around.

Just look around and ask around, but whatever you do dont take your third gen to a Earl Scheibs my friend took his 91 Z28 there and got it painted black and within 2 months the clearcoat was pealing and a bunch of other little crap and he kept good care of his Z plus it wasnt even his daily driver, is your car your getting painted your daily driver?

Yeah, actually it is, but I take good care of it, well, I will, I don't have it yey, still have to go pick it up (I bought it from Guido). That's why I want a very durable job, too. Any suggestions on durability?

Hey Reno, do you know where Clinton is? I live in Clinton like 23 miles away from Bloomington-Normal i was there today eating at Fizzolies with my girlfriend.

Heck yes I know where Clinton is! Half my extended family lives there. I"m from up by chicago though. So you gonna come to the cruise night in the fall I'm trying to put together?
