Looks good, what's stopping you from painting the hood?

My paint is in near perfect condition. You can comb your hair in the full color reflection. How does this stuff treat the hairline scratches that are the result from improper waxing? I need something that can get rid of the hatch marks that run across the spoiler and horizontaly across the fenders/hood. I thought about using 2000/1600 grit sand paper, but I am afraid to ruin my near perfect clear coat.
