Questions about big wheels

Im looking for 17-18x8 IROC rims. Does anyone know where i would find them and how much they would cost. Also my friend had 20" rims on his durango and on the highway after about 60-70 mph they would start to shake the whole car, maybe something about the aerodynamics of it, but it would shake so much that the whole inside of the car would shake. Would 18's cause this problem at high speeds????? Anyone????

Well, the only reason a vehicle would shake at high speed right after installing new rims and tires is because they weren't balanced correctly, or didn't have the correct air pressure (or both).

17x8 or 18x8 aftermarket IROC rims should have the correct offsets, so they should be OK to put on a third gen. The important thing is to match the new tires up right.

Here's a great link for all of us 3rd gen guys and gals to refer to when considering tire upgrades (or wheel and tire upgrades):
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Now we can see an illustration of before and after and correctly match new tires and rims based on stock specifications! Check it out!

Not to sound like a smart a** but with 20" wheels, the ride is going to be extremely bumpy, and it could easily cause the shaking. I dont think there's any way to excape that, with 20's. But they could ALSO not be balanced good, which could cause even worse shaking and other problems.
As for the Iroc's, look in Suprer Chevy and Chevy High Performance, there's always some in there.

Black Widow is wrong. The 20" wheels them selves will not cause shaking or noise. I have had 20s on both my denali and still do on my 95 Impala. Both ride/ rode like factory. There are many things that can cause this, improper balancing, wrong tire pressure, cheap wheels, cheap tires, incorrect tire size.
