HELP --- DS Flip up Opens but doesn't close!!!

Hey, before I start I'd like to say that I checked the archives and found NOTHING answering my question, and I really need Help. Ok, here's my dilemma:

I just bought an 86TA with DS Flip up light going up, but not coming down. I had a spare DS headlight, so I took off the old one and wired in the new one. The same thing happens!!! (I know the new motor works for sure) I figure its the wiring to the Light. (Correct me if you think it might be something else)

Can somebody with experience plz tell me what kind of time and money I would have to put into rewiring this light?

What kind of wire should I get and where?

Would I have to take the whole tube of wires from the dash off to put the new wires in, or can I just slip the new wires in without actually atking anyhting off.

Again I looked EVEYWHERE and found nothing on my particular topic, so I would really appreciate it if you nice people would answer all my questions for me Thanks

Um ok...this might be very stupid and seem but a smart @$$ reply..but its what fixed my problem...check the fuses...the one for the tail light to be exact...mine was fried and it wouldnt put my lights down...it also means you dont have tail lights...so if you havent gotten pulled over then its probably not that problem...anyways
