Help Identify rims
I wanted to know what kind of rims I use to have need to know so when I sell them I know what they are. I always thought they were stock rims off an S10 so what someone told me but the other day a friend saw a F body with the exact rims and the car said American Racing rims so what do I have?

The Welds have a similar design, but that's not what's on that car. They look like Centerline wheels to me, but they must be an old design because those wheels are not on Centerline's web site any more. They look a lot like the Convo-Pro just with the different shape opening.

Re: Help Identify rims
American Racing used to sell either those or pretty much the same thing. Ultra Wheel ( I believe ) did also. They were popular back in the late 80s early 90s so a few companies had variations on them.

Re: Help Identify rims
I use to have those same wheels in 16's on my '86. Those are American Sports Car Directionals. They were very popular back in the day and they can still be bought.

I thought the aluminums were called saw blades. Popular for a few months in the late 80s. If the attached pic is what you were referring to

Re: Help Identify rims
He said the rims have the American Racing logo on them so then ARC calls them Directionals. I still have my original sales receipt and direct from ARC that's what they were called. A popular wheel maybe it was copied by other manufacturers.

Thanks for the info. I decided I am going to keep them and I put them back on my car, they are aluminum and starting to corrode is there anything that I can do to save them before they get bad?
