Intake Manifold Rust and Repair
Intake Manifold Rust and Repair
I just bought a new intake manifold (well, not brand new) and I've noticed that it had a few places with rust on it. So I decided I would dremmel it off so it all looks the same throughout. Now I've finished dremmeling but it comes out really spotty, can anyone suggest what I do next with it? Is there a polish or a different kind of brush I can use on the end of a dremmel or drill to clean it all off? Thanks!

I'd probably just brush off any loose rust and paint it.

Well, it's for another show car, so I would prefer it to be the stock cast finish. Shiny carb, shiny intake, nice orange block and heads, black and silver M/T valve covers, I mean, it was nice before, and I just want it restored.
PS - CLR IS BAD FOR ALUM. People power coat their intakes, is it worth it?
