I have a Trans Am and have always loved the trademark Firebird on the hood. But my car is an 87 and I have a cowl hood. Does anyone have a cowl hood with a hoodbird? I've thought of ways to incorporate the two. Like making different drawings in the way that the bird wouldn't look just "stenciled on". Does anyone have any ideas on how to make the bird design "flow" with a cowl hood?..

 

I am looking to get that same hood...I think your car looks super sharp and I would not change a thing! I love the clean looking cars though without all kinds of graphics.

 

thank you. I agree that cars don't look good with alot of graphics. But I think it would be great to have a hoodchicken since that has always distinguished the Trans Ams from the regular Firebirds...

 

how about this one? If I dont get a cowl I am going to put a big one on my hood and little ones on the sail pans.

 

I say go for it!

If it were me, I would try and get a stencil or something of one, and have a local painter paint it on, then they could adjust for the contours of the Cowl.

 

I think that would look sweet.....

 

wow, that looks really nice. I've been thinking about actually having the bird logo lower on the hood (or more toward the front of the car) and then having the wings stretched up more. In the same fashion the 2nd gen bird wrapped around the shaker...

 

what about a simmiler design to the daytona T/A hood bird up on top of the cowl?

 

i say go for it hcr13 that would be awsome and everyone would like to see the finished product, imo.

Hey 4playta, where did you find that graphic? I saw it once on ebay over a year ago and was planning on getting it for my 79 T/A, but it was gone the next day and I haven't seen it since. I really want it for my 91.

I seen it on ebay also and copied the image in hopes to have someone with talent enough to paint it on my hood someday, it is awesome aint it? I might just have a local graphics shop make one for me and make small ones for the sail panels.
