I had mine done 2 years ago. Cost $200. If I remeber the % is either 20 or 30. Here's a pic.

hey rare,
I was thinking about getting the tinted redone it mine. If you do go that route make sure that it is the good stuff, and is done right. Who ever owned my car before me had a crappy job done on mine. I had to scrap it off, that totally sucked. But I plan to get it redone. Tint protects your interior, from fadding out, and also keeps your car cooler. I'm not sure what % to get, but I asked a state trooper at my work, he said a good rule of thumb is that if you can put your hand behind the glass and see it that it's legal or really close to it. So they'll let it slided. Also I talked to guy who does tint for a living, and he said the best tint out there is the titiem (spelling). He said that he's never seen anyone have a problem with it. I'm going to go with either mirror or that, I ll post some pics soon. Well when I get it done, it was either that or a 3.42 rear end, and I chose the rear end which will get done tomorrow, but the tint is next.

Best bennie-and-a-half I ever spent.
I have 26 on the sides and 16 on the hatch and windshield.

The pics on my website dont show the tint(wasnt done at time of pictures), but now i have 5% on the rear window and 35% on the sides...i am thinking of re-doing the sides to 12% since it looks alot better. The back, i think i will leave alone. The best tint out there also comes with a lifetime warranty that says it will never turn purple..you'll pay more, upfront, but if you dont, it will cost more to keep replacing it.

I'm getting my rear re done and some on the sides. My only problem is trying to see if i can keep 5% on the sides or just get the legal amount. I live in delaware and as long as u don't **** cops off or get pulled over its cool. So i'll see what happens.

ok guys also, do you think that tint looks good, i do, but i am hesitant to do it since the cops are always targeting me for some reason. and i dont need to get pulled over anymore, if i do, then i cant go to the army to be an MP, so i have to stay on the good side of the cops.

and all of your cars look great.
keep posting guys.

and my car will be basically for Shows/cruise nights. i dont do much driving with it.

thanks again!

Check out my link to my ride in my sig,it is a 5% tint,i think it goes great with the car and dramatically improved the appearance of my yellow iroc, make sure when you do clean those windows to use a window cleaner without amonia, using amonia will over time turn it purple, just a tip.

If you don't want trouble and you want the car for cruise *nights*, there's no reason to get the darkest you can find. my 16/26 combo looks pitch black in the day and does a great job keeping the interior cool and visually glare-free. at night, you can hardly tell it's tinted from the inside, and not once out of the 20-odd times i've been pulled over have they said a thing about the windows because.

most of the people I know personally who put on true 5% *limo* tint (not the fake 5% that some advertise) and do a lot of night driving regret going that dark for all the harassment and not being able to see out the sides or back on unlit streets.

I agree Jza,the 5% at night are a pain when backing up and looking out the side windows when its dark,i usually roll them down so i can see,i dont like driving blindly,my only regrets, otherwise they look great and keep me cool on the hot days.

I LOVE MY TINT. KEEPS THE CAR COOL AND I DON'T NEED THOSE OLD FASHION REAR LOURVERS FOR SECURITY. ALSO GAVE MY CAR A DRAMATIC LOOK WITH IT BEING PAINTED BLACK. I HAVE LIMO 5 % IN THE BACK AND 10% IN THE SIDES. NEVER BEEN PULLED OVER BY COPS, AND I HAVE NO TROUBLE SEEING AT NIGHT OR DAY. ONE WORD OF ADVICE. GET IT DONE PROFESSIONALLY SO YOU HAVE THE WARRENTY AND DON'T USE GLASS CLEANER THAT HAS AMONIA IN IT, TURNS THE FILM PURPLE.
