I replaced the bulb in the hatch/trunk of my 91 bird but it's still not lighting up. Is there a connection for it? I've looked around but I don't see anything there.

 

mine did this, take that back plastic off and follow the wires, and just make sure the connections are tight, espically (sp?) the ones that connect to the light itself.

 

Theres nothing like that on mine my car has no options at all could it be that they left that out aswell?

 

hmm, maybe its different on 91-92 models, somebody else will probably have an answer for you. may have better luck in the interior board or the electronics board.

 

maybe someone replaced the plastic trim and used one with a light on it and your factory one didnt have a light, this is if the birds are like the camaros, also if someone removed the hatch pull down (if yours came with it from the factory) the light will not light up anymore, use the RPO decoder on this web site to find out your had the pull down motor and the extra interior lighting package

i think the RPO for the pull down is actually under 1SD OPTION PACKAGE 04(or something like that)

otherwise take it apart and check wires for power and good ground with a multi meter or test light

 

My bird came with nothing no hatch cover, pull down motor, the car is all original I bought it from the original owner so Im 100% sure nothing from the interior was replaced.
