removing polishing compound from pits & scratches ???

what works well for doing this ????

Rather than dry, try spraying some quick detail spray first and then agitate with a medium bristle brush. Less scouring of the surrounding area and the QD spray does a great job of loosening the dried compound/polish/wax/sealant.

Dawn Dish soap and HOT HOT HOT water. it will disolve the compound. and you can scrub it out easier.

Mineral Spirts works great also.

I think you misunderstood .... this is polishing compound on my polished tpi system. I think you might have though compound on a cars paint or something.

I use dawn on the car paint also when I want to break down and get all tar /wax/etc off it before I rub it out and polish and reglaze / wax it also.
