Tint! Was told I cant

I wet to get my car tinted and the guy said I would have to replace my windows. They do have scratches on them but nothing major. He said i would have to replace them since the tint would look bad. Why would it matter since They do not anymore. The only thing I could think of it that it would look bad looking outside. Not looking in! Thanks guys!

Re: Tint! Was told I cant

I`m no expert on tinted windows but if the installer said they would look bad he was probably worried about his reputation. When someone comments on your funny looking tint job, you tell them who did it and he loses customers. Maybe you could work a deal with him to do one and see how it comes out or try someone else. If it`s me, I want to do one first and see how it comes out anyway.

Anywhere tint doesn't stick, as in over a scratch, is visible from the outside. Since the tint can't conform to the inside of the scratch, you will have an air pocket where the scratch is (same as a bubble), which is very visible from the outside.
