I'm an auto tech at a Chevy dealership here in New Orleans. I've been ASE Master certified and just recently GM Master certified.

Don't make the mistake I have, If cars are you hobby, don't make it your career. My hobby suffers unfortunalty. Just look at the condition of my car....lol. After turning wrenches all day, I'm whipped out by the time I get home to work on my Z28.

Beat this: Mickey D's. I won;t even drive my bird there for work for fear of vandalism by honda boy, my arch enemy in the world of cars. Too bad I can;t race him. He doesnt even have a car let alone his 475 horse civic he boasts about.

My parents didn't pay for a thing on my car, and i'm pretty proud of that.

Should have been a JD ag tech. Thats what i am. They pay darn good and the works about as easy as it gets, although i don't sit around on thirdgen.org all day. Our computers don't connect to the internet, just the parts books and stuff.

Pizza Hut... a whopping $5.75/hr. Used to work 6 days a week plus school (I'm 17) but now its only about 25-30 hours/week.

I only stay cause its actually a fun job. Its easy and the people are cool.

Lucky me I've got two main hobbies, cars being one and computers being the other... August I'm starting classes to become a mechanic my buddy runs his own shop and his cars are the last to be fixed all the time LOL As for what I do now, some computer repair, painting cars, wrenching on cars, and a little bit of machinist work keeps me busy and makes me a bit of money.

Well I just turned 21, paid for everything on my 2 camaros including the cars. And still ahve a mess load of money to put into my 86 to get it the way I want. I work for the bank of New York in their stock transfer department. Hopefully out of there and into the Brokerage after I take my Series 6 and 7 in December and January. But the good thing is I get to stay on here all day long right now since there is hardly any work. It pays good and I work 10 minutes from where I live. The comute is good and fast I can wake up at 7:45 or 8:45 depending on what time I want to go to work and be there at 8 or 9. I love this place.

I'm 20, been doing it since 1995 thats how i got my start, if you haven't been doing it for long, you'll need to take some stupid BS tests written by some old guy and get a little piece of paper saying you know something.

Go check out your local colleges classes....

I am getting a Masters in Web Applications & Major Database Developement
