Am also in melbourne and had my 82 T/A conv. to RHD.
I have an 83 Z28, and it has been converted.
My passenger (lhs) tyre wears on the outside.
When on full lock the outside of the tyres has more contact with the road than the inner side....
Is this simple to fix, or is there something wrong with the conversion?

Hi LarsZ28.
When converting to RHD the front end is only modified at the steering box. In most cases a HK Holden box is fitted as it is a direct copy except right-hand. Thus all the steering rods are reversed. This requires a front end aligment when finished. Normally the caster and camber remain the same. If your LH tyre is wearing on the outside it could be due to TOE-IN causing you to steer to the right because of road camber, thus wear the outside of the LH tyre. I suggest you have a front end alignment.
Resetting spec's for Z28 (not T/A's)
Toe-in + 0.15* +/- 0.05*
Caster + 3* +/- 0.5*
Camber + 1* +/- 0.5*
For T/A's
Caster and Camber as above
Toe-in + 0.2 +/- 0.05*
Caster must be equal with-in 0.5* from right hand to left hand side after setting.
All of the above only if the car is at correct trim height. That is 212mm at front of door and 211mm measured at rear of door.
from under body to ground. Tolerance +/- 10mm on the 211 and 212mm. This is for tyre sizes 195-75 to 215-60 and 15" rims.
Finally check wheel bearings and ball joints for wear. If loose, Front end alignment is waste of time. Note: F-body's front bearings will feel a little loose as they do not run as tight as other cars. Do not over tighten.
