goo gone?
i have a piece of foam blackish grey in color and it has a sticky side. i put the sticky part onto the nose of my camaro cause my cowl hood kept rubbin it cause of my hood pins... what would be the best thing to use without messing up the paint to take the sticky stuff off the nose( bumper)? i have a lil bit sticking out from the hood that i dont like seeing.... anybody have ideas?

Its a bar made of synthetic clay, and looks sort of like play-doh. It's a very mild abrasive, and it works really well for removing wax, and contaminants embedded in the paint. I use meguiar's claybars, they run about $20 at any auto parts store. It also comes with a spray bottle of soapy water. You spray the area, then buff with the clay bar, pretty much like polishing.

Goo Gone should'nt eat paint we use it at work on some painted items and have never had any issues with that. It works great on some adhesives and not hardly at all on others though but its pretty cheap so it'd probably be worth a shot.
