Ok to paint Engine?
Hey guys i got a 305 i just cleaned and mostly all of the paint is coming off of the intake manifold and valve covers, water pump ,etc. would it be ok to paint it with engine paint to make it look a little better if i masked everything off and maybe sanded a few things??has anyone else done this?

yeah get some engine enamel and go to work. A wire brush helps alot along with some sanding.

Masking tip: Aluminum foil is your friend in this situation.
Make sure you CLEAN all the GREASE off the areas you are painting, too. Any degreaser should work fine. Just be sure to read the bottle/can and make sure it won't hurt your aluminum. I would suggest cleaning before and after sanding.
